Bleeding Gean

Bleeding Gean

A Poem by Adam Lebzo -RonninWarrior-
"

When we still can't believe it's over.

"
Plastic dance neath the eye of hell,
A heathen eulogy screams,
A melody of a torment spell,
That piano bewails our dreams.

Frigid skin of dark ancient griefs,
The glum scene is bereft of life,
Gothic romance of two mischiefs,
On the broken notes of the fife.

On the cross, eyes of pearly shine,
Servile the inscrutable act.
In the ballroom of yearning shrine,
Beneath ungodly night sky shaft

The air is still, heavy and chill,
A silent mourn is caught between,
The band that thrums rather mutely,
And the bride’s lips of bleeding gean.

All eyes are stagnant and peering,
The groom halts amid the ill waltz,
The scene amuck disappearing,
O what is true? And what is false?

I am intrigued by your word arrangement. This is not the normal hum drum poetry that I have seen in the Cafe. This is suggestive of so many things forbidden. The rot of guilt permeates the poem and I can feel it. It is beautiful yet collectively solemn with its intensity and sadness.

Very nice piece. Much said in few words; a trait of all great poetry. Very well written. :)

damn, this is fantastic....i like the parallel to the gothic...but no matter what century, what setting...the loss of love is the same...and often we just can't believe it has happened...we sit mortified and puzzled at what once was and is no longer..

and we reflect...what was true? and what was false?

i have done this enough...we there really love? or just imagination playing gothic tricks.

Thank you, Jacob
It's a puzzle as old as man!
