The Running Man

The Running Man

A Poem by Adilene
"

In dedication to an inspiring professor I have known during his trouble to find peace. A former runner of his time, he has not only run through the tracks, but from himself.

"

They’ve watched you reach

The edge of the world.

You’ve sought under your heels

To catch the moon.

You’ve soared with your rate

To the equator.

You’ve dug deep with your palms

Into the earth.

You’ve flown with utter persistence

To the sun.

You’ve run to countless places

As they have told.

But in my eyes

You have not yet made it

To the finish line.

Written nonchalantly. Would still appreciate commentary.
