Mighty Mouse

After reading some antique Mighty Mouse comic books, I was inspired to write this poem.

Mighty Mouse

 

Mighty Mouse shall save the day

for each of his friends

holding every cat at bay

with which he contends.

 

Kitties doing as they may

form a harmful trend

scaring tiny mice at play

whom they apprehend.

 

Mighty Mouse joins every fray

meaning to defend

all his friends filled with dismay

when those cats descend.

 

Mitzi Mouse was once the prey

of those who offend.

Mighty kept her from harm's way

to the bitter end.

Very cool my friend. I used to buy Mighty Mouse and Sad Sack comic books when I was a kid. (a long, long time ago) Nicely done and nice repeating rhyme.

I used to watch most of the episodes of Mighty ,Mouse and Mini( Mitzi ) along with Popeyes and others. This is like reading those good ole comic books...Splendid...:)

The character in the poem is telling his friends not to worry for their lives as he will keep their enemy distracted so his friends could do their things.

Thanks for your review, Squinkla! Mighty is mostly interested in protecting the love of his life “Mitzi Mouse” as well as her rodent friends. If you expand the picture , then you’re get a better picture of Mitzi. Those antique comic books are a joy to read. I bet that you know a few girls who look like Mitzi?
