Blank paper is a magical place-holder

Blank Paper

 

Should your world get colder

right down to the wire,

fill this blank place-holder

with a blue sapphire.

 

Place it in a folder;

light your world on fire.

When you get much older,

add to it a lyre.

 

Strum notes that are bolder

‘til you feed your pyre;

then add your last molder,

an angelic choir.

Thanks for your review! I'm not the only one on Earth who knows how to build a conscious artificial intelligence. I have a hunch that they are working on it in some top secret underground lab somewhere on Earth. I feel quite sure that they will do it with or without me. It's all about money now. Those who control the funds gain the power, and the scientist who build the system are just pawns in a larger game for world domination. I'd rather not be part of the development of what is soon to become a regrettable juggernaut in the hands of immature governments. Isn’t it enough that we gave them atomic power? I’ll write poetry and play it safe as I smell the roses. Billy gave up programming long ago, and now he smells the roses too.

this had a bit of a Jim Morrison feel to it...

So add the music and it's complete... these words do sing in a simplistic, but very effective way... and seem to linger in the air like embers on the pyre... a great composition.... JJ

Thanks for your review Jumbo J! Since my poems have Classical meter and perfect rhyme, they all sing. Perhaps someone will set them to music in a hundred years or so. A writer of song-poems must be dead before being taken seriously in this commerical world. They don't know that no one else can do what I can do yet, that will take some time for them to be aware of.

Quite an interesting poem… as poets we need to write our our feelings, and when we write out the bad ones then it is time to let go of them and move on. I enjoyable thinking poem.

Thanks for your review! I try to write poems that shift people to a better mood. If we're anything at, then we're the complex spectrum of our various moods. Sometimes blue shows more than the red when all is done and all is said, but green is serene.
