In the Beginning

In the Beginning

A Poem by Brandon
"

A desripction of the Earth in the very beginning

"

In the beginning

There was nothing

There was me

And a single tree

An apple bloomed

From it’s branch

And I ate

Not just one bite

The entire thing

Even the core

I swallowed it whole

There was no right

There was no wrong

There was only will

My will became law

My law became word

My word became life

And life became death

And the tree slowly died

And from it’s remains

A garden bloomed

And in this garden

There was a tree

I then created

Creatures like me

And they ate from the tree

The fruit of it’s branch

Only one bite

And with knowledge in hand

They called themselves man

The tree soon died

And the garden rotted

But man lived on

In this dead garden

Wow.. I love that. I love the ending. "But man lived on, In this dead garden"

That's what this place is, isn't it? A dead garden? Rotting wishes and should have beens. Broken dreams and plaguing fatigue.
