The Land of Old

The Land of Old

A Poem by Elf at Heart

This is the land of old

Filled with shapes both strange and bold

Trees covered in crystallized sap

A bee hive hangs like a golden sack

Lakes sit and streams flow

Clouds float and winds blow

This is the land of old

Filled with shapes both strange and bold

I like the rhyming two lines. They added a bit of a fable/story feel to this poem. The imagery was also good and invoked lots of visions in my mind. Still though, I feel like if you had included even more images and expanded this poem, you could have made it even more beautiful. However, as it is now, it is still a very nice piece.
