Paper Hearts

Paper Hearts

A Poem by Aiden Marie

Please do me one last thing

its kinda special to me

dont tear my paper heart

im sick of falling apart

you cant tape it back together

duct tape just dont last forever

so dont tear my paper heart

im sick of falling apart

dont bring those razors near me

those are the last thing i wanna see

you must be as blind as can be

i keep my love in a heart shaped box

i buried it under a pile of rocks

so my paper heart wont tear

so my love cant go and wear

let me sing you one more song

so you know everything thats wrong

please do me one last thing

its kinda special to me

dont tear my paper heart

im sick of falling apart

you cant tape it back together

duct tape just dont last forever

so dont you tear my papaer heart

im so sick of falling apart

please dont tear my paper heart...

This poem shows the pain you feel all so very real. I can relate to it. I loved the way you put it in details of paper and heart. To me it shows that your heart is very delicate like paper, which I agree with. The razor is sharp and it can cut through with just a single touch. I will keep this one in my library. But remeber that even though a person cuts a persons'heart it can be healed in time.( don't forget that).

A very negative poem. It reflects a past pain, and a fear that it might happen again.
But is concentrating on the past the best way to prevent it?
I think if you dwell on the past, then you're destined to have the same outcome.
