Leaping Lizards

Leaping Lizards

A Poem by Albert Freeman

Leaping lizards dancing about

Carressing, cavorting and capering in delight

Tongues sat wagging, tails a twirling

Moving low to the ground, eyes sparkling with humor

Colors sat to changing, blending into their surroundings

Tasting the air, with anticipation of earthly rewards

Bugs whirling in the air, setting mouths to watering

Ancient cultures dusted off, evolution paying homage

The night renewing, natures nocturnal clock reset with life

Leaping lizards dancing about, with night filled

with life

Very good. I like how dreamy you made the whole thing come about. Its very image provoking, and that's always a nice boon to a read.

Great imagery, a very energetic poem! If you revise this, you could look at removing some of the gerunds to tighten the feel of the flow, and also look at the use of 'with' 3 times in the final lines.
