Passed Moment

I yearned to write you a love poem!
Or even sing you a soulful ballad!
Filled with deep love wrenched from
The emotions deep within my heart!
But I simply sent you flowers!
Colorful flowers to say the words I shy to
Unspoken words that you know flow from my heart to yours!
Blue… for that’s how I feel,
So achingly close, yet undeniably far
White... for my love so pure
Unblemished even in the darkest hour
Green… for life, for the vibrancy I feel
But mostly for the envy I feel within my heart
Red... for the passion you have for life
And the passion I have for you
Yellow… well, for that’s simply my favorite color

But I will never know, how it feels to look
Deep in your eyes shining with love for me.
Nor how warm your caress, or how sweet your kisses.
And though a picture of you,
Still evokes my soul, still stirs my heart.
I still will never know.
Though I long to hold you tight
And watch you sleep in the morning rain,
Smile your every joy, share you every tear
Warm in your embrace, and bask in your Love.
Something’s are just not to be!

My love for you is strong, as it was yonder
Just how much more I could Love you
WE will never know,
And as I ponder what could have been,
My heart still believes I could have made you happiest
But those are for days gone by,
And we will always be just friends.
