Only Half

Half is all I’ll ever be
All the tears we cried
Melted half of me
I walk around
Only half alive
Only half asleep
Only half awake
The love I give
Only half as good
And even my hate
Only half as mean
Half a hope
And half a dream
Only believed by half of me
Each vision that haunts
My broken mind
And each word spoken
And left unspoken
Constantly recorded
Playing on even in my knees
Leaving them weak and dizzy
Until only half the bone remains
And half the muscle to sustain

I love this piece you've created :) Honestly, it always sucks to feel as if you're not good enough for anyone or even yourself in anything you do. I feel like this really on a daily basis, though I try my best at whatever I do for myself and others. I always feel half awake, not tired enough, not good enough. But in order to move forward in life is to bury the insecurities and accept and love who you are as a person.

I must say it was definitely well done. It leaves my mind with an image of a broken person, just wishing to be whole (by finding Love I assume?). I love a poem that leaves me feeling heart-broken, and this one, did. Not another simple heartbreak poem, this one has more than that...concise emotion. Bravo.
