Ghost flowers.

Ghost flowers.

A Poem by johnnyqueer

Phantom returns and I'm growing numb,
Yet feeling enough spark to still hold on.
This iron grows thicker each of the seasons,
Heavy heart weighing down my desires.
You must remember that I do have a past,
One that haunts when my mind reminds me.

To add you to this growing strange crisis,
Would be immature and most disastrous.
I am not prone to be or see such happiness,
Destruction follows me ready and eager.
Allowing myself to center another tragedy,
Would be more than my heart will allow.

Phantom man, I really do love you.
I'm just not ready for you to see.
Perhaps you'll be single when I'm ready,
Past caught in a net far off behind me.
Gather and grow like vines and flowers,
But for now I'm still in hiding.

OMG I LOVE IT! Your vivid words touched my aching soul. I mirrored the emotions expressed! "If I told you that a Flower Bloomed in a dark room would you trust it?" -Kendrick Lemar
