Brilliance

Brilliance

A Poem by AleyshaRosa

I saw the sun rising

And in spite of myself

I kissed the sky

And asked it why

Her colours were shining

As brightly as they were

And why her rays

Spread out like arms

Protecting me from harm

Cradling me, making me stay

She cast red, purple, pink

Gold, orange and broke

The blue and took

Away the stars

And put them under her sink

She cooed and promised

They could come back

That the sky would lack

Her infinite brilliance

Without a glint of silver

They would smile and wait

For the end of the day

To come out and play

And cure the world of

Hate

A day under the dome ... seeking promises of a better day ... tomorrow.

this is really pretty…she cooed and promised they would come back. sweet connections to nature….

So playful! This is really fun, and I like the personification -- but if the sky is a "she," then the first few lines where you say "it" are a little confusing. But overall, very nice flow!
