Heartbeat

Heartbeat

A Poem by Star Cross
"

...

"
The weight of the world was upon her shoulders,
Her stare was cold,
Lips dried,
And hands cracked.

The flames engulfed her body,
Passion took over her heart.
One beat, two beats
One straight line.

The strength and courage,
They were what the water had given her.
Time will always be present,
But it is impossible for the present to go back in time.

So please, revive this heartbeat.

i must say Star....You really know your powerful words!! Strength, Courage, Passion, Engulfed....And from what I can tell by the first few lines, you can probably use those words and make a magnificent cluster of talent that would explode off of the page...As for this poem though...Well it just kinda stalls and fizzles...I can tell you have alot of talent and being that you are young I think you in time can become a terrific writer of poetry...
