Forsaken

A man heals her broken heart, and she falls in love with him. But her emotions me nothing to him, and he re-breaks the heart he had once meticulously tried to put back together.

Thrown away, Left in the dark

A wounded soul, A  broken heart

Forsaken by the one I loved

Then someone rescued me, and took me home

He held me close, He kept me warm

He dried my tears and numbed the pain

He became my reason to live again

We shared smiles and laughter, never tears

I loved him so much and never ever feared

That someday he would leave me all alone

With no more love or smiles or a home

But one thing I shouldn't have forgotten

Was that male hearts are fickle and rotten

And another pretty girl showed up at random

He fell in "love", and I was again abandoned...

"Come back!" I got on my knees to plead

"You're my savior, it's you I will always need."

He turned one last time, looked me in the eye

And said, "I wish I would have let you die."

So now...I'm....

Thrown away, Left in the dark
