Sweet Sounds of Sax

Sweet Sounds of Sax

A Poem by Emri Mills
"

It's me trying on some poetry. I'm trying to get better so help me out here. This is actually a tongue twister when you read it. At least the way I see it.

"
Sweet Sounds of the Sax
so Smooth, so suddle, so soothing
sounds like the flight of a dove
the sweet sounds of the sax I just love

Emri (an interesting name) … I like it!
How wonderful to compose a poem in "sibilance (s-sounds)", as it makes the mind slip 'n slide down a slippery slope of slithering sleekness … just having a bit of fun. : )
Truly, this piece is a wee bit of poetic genius in homage the a widely favored, beautiful instrument that has thrilled millions for many decades … Boots Randolph, John Coltrain, Stan Getz, Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rawlins, and Wayne Shorter (among many noted others) come to mind.

"sounds like the flight of a dove
the sweet sounds of the sax I just love"

Absolutely beautiful Free Style poeting, Emri … thank you sincerely for sharing.
You're a lovely writer! ⁓ Richard 🎶

PS: L2, check spelling "suddle" vs "subtle".

Some of the old jazz albums can be soothing for sure. There are no effects, just a player and his ability to talk with his instrument.

A simple, but very nice poem. It flows well.
