A Howling in the Wind

A Howling in the Wind

A Poem by Allyson Wolfe

Call to me,
oh spirit of the wild.
Your call,
that howl,
that ferocious little smile.
Oh how you tempt me!
That indeed,
the need to run,
the need to breathe
in that fresh mountain air.
A love so pure,
that's nature, sure.
But can you hear the wolf's soft howl?
There! He runs! Along, he prowls.

You are welcome
I'm no poem expert, i sometimes dabble into my poetic side, but i usually stick to novels; that aside i can still tell you that this piece was great! Short, simple, direct, and powerful. Plus i love wolves, so you win in my book. ;)

The wolf has always been a symbol of freedom and primal nature. You have done an excellent job of capturing both here. I salute you, madam.

Thank you much! I love depicting the wolf for this reason.
The wolf is mysterious and sensual in this write. And yes, they do always have a bit of a grin:) Nice rhyme at the end
