Reggae

Reggae

A Poem by Kasey Jones

I like the carefree, beach party safety net that is reggae.
You can turn off your tired mind
And let the words flow over your soul like a cleansing sunrise.

Don't forget about the constant back and forth of guitar twangs that are so easy to dance to
That'll be there for your mood to crowd-surf on,
Back up from the danger zone of thinking too much.

Thinking. Seems to be my greatest downfall these days. Reggae isn't quite my style, but I can appreciate the appreciation of Reggae that is this poem. You do a great job appealing to sound. I also like the rhythm, the elongated lines remind me of the music genre itself. An excellent job on this one. I have no criticism to offer.
