Storm.

Storm.

A Poem by Aly

Snow fell over the innocent trees,
As the motionless people watched.
The sky supplied a small breeze,
Brushing against the tree tops.

Eyes stared hungrily at the grey coloured sky,
Hoping the bad weather would stop.
We called out to god, but with no reply,
Maybe it hadn’t been heard?

Faces turned pale, as clouds rumbled over,
A cry was heard from afar.
Rain started pouring down filling up the river
Everything was such a blur.

People ran to the nearest shelter,
Protecting themselves from the fall.
Faces all looking bitter,
Could it get any worse?

A ray of light shone through the clouds,
Delight filled the room.
Noise shared among the crowds,
Could we go outside again?

The terror-filled clouds moved slowly away,
Everyone jumping for joy.
The children went outside to play,
And the rest thanked the lord.
