Some Things

Some Things

A Poem by Amata Luna
"

Some things are things that's best...

"

Some things are better best forgotten

Some words are better left unsaid

Some feelings are better best be kept

Not all people who ask really cares

Don’t wait on people to tell you lies

Better be mocked than smile with runts

Better be tired than rest with scants

Never trust a person who always hides

Friends are mirrors they reflect who you are

Acquaintances are lakes as unstable as clouds

Clouds are illusions set above the skies

You are who you are not by what others say you are

What are mirrors if they are broken?

What are clouds that have never spoken?

What are skies without the weather?

What are you without a touch of neither?

That’s why some things don’t have to be remembered

That’s why some things don’t have to be said

That’s why some secrets don’t have to be revealed

For betrayal is as thin as hate is with love

See, some things are better best forgotten

Hear, some words are better left unsaid

Remember, some feelings are better best be kept

Because not all people who ask really cares

This poem was titled "SHIP CAPTAIN" before but I found that rather unfit so I had a change of heart with the title. I hope you'll enjoy reading this one. Don't forget to leave honest reviews whenever you have the time. Thanks!

it takes a smart and wise person to come to these conclusions. reminds me of polonius sending off his son to graduate school and gives him all manners of advice. in the end, he says to his son. 'to thine own self be true. there are wisdom in these words and i enjoyed reading it.

Some very good advice here!
One of the best I've read recently.
The flow, the choice of words, the content, everything is perfect.

Amazing wisdom in this poem. Your words are true. We must listen and pay attention to the real and caring people in a life. Many people will try to fool us. No weakness in this outstanding poem.
