I never wanted everything, I only need just one thing...

There is one thing to remember about me and that is about men

People never really understood it, but I do just as you ken

So let’s start this conversation to finish one more thing

And that is understanding; understanding why men call me “mean”

 

Let’s say

I need a man, a man who knows what’s a woman

Let’s say

I need a man, a man who knows enough how to be a man

Let’s say

I need a man to care for me, but not a man to spoil me much

Let’s say

I need a man strong enough to protect me, but not a man to hurt me such

Let’s say

I need a man to be understanding, but not a man who wrongly fix his mind

Let’s say

I need a man who listens to his heart, not just one who speaks with his ego in touch

Let’s say

I need a man to look for me, but not because he’s mad

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll whisper love, but not because he made something bad

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll cook for me, who’ll find his way into my heart

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll cry with me and not one who will tear me apart

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll stand by me even if it seems the world let go

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll say “hello” even when everyone I greet barks at me “NO!”

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll kiss my tears, not one who’ll kiss me just because he wins

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll laugh for me, when all the impossible is there inside me

Let’s say

I need a man to follow me, to be with me in all my quirks

Let’s say

I need a man that is different from me, a man I can say “He is what completes me”

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll hurt me more with truth than lies untold

Let’s say

I need a man who works in deed and not one who speaks like he never don’t

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll be my half, a man that is worth my life

Let’s say

A man who’ll give me his all and will ever love in his life

Let’s say

I need a man who’ll respect me as I am and love me just the same

Let’s say

A man who’ll share the passion and pain even when things work just as lame

Let’s say

 I’ve always dreamed a man like this; a man who’ll care and love me true

Let’s say

A man who’s care is nothing but to see me better on this world I knew

Let’s say

I need not fancy clothes, baubles and all, even those gold

Let’s say

I never even wanted, never even dared to have all men, even young or old

 

 

 But all I know is this:

I need just a man; one man who will really love me and care for all I am

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Author's Note

Hi everyone. This is another thought that popped out in the writer's mind out there. Thinking of "Women and Roses" and vice versa. I hope you'll enjoy reading this one. An entry for today: 4/19/2012. Try reading the poem without the title of "Let's says" before every verse and it would bring a new meaning to you. I hope since it did with me. :D I'm so very grateful for all who'll take time to read, rate and review this work of mine that popped out of nothingness. =) Enjoy reading then.
