Cruelty's Rosevine

Cruelty's Rosevine

A Poem by Amduscia

I have cut off fierce nations of cruelty from within; their violent battlements are desolate within; I have made their fearful streets waste within, so that none passeth by within...

Within, their cities of aggression, are destroyed as transgression, so that there is no Man, so that there is no viceful inhabitant in possession...

Love said unto cruelty, "Only fear Thou Me; receive correction, or pay the fee"; so Her haunted dwelling shall not be cut off, as red panda fur, according to all that I have appointed concerning Her...

But cruelty's rose blossomed early and corrupted all of Loves doings...

"Therefore, wait Ye for Me", saith Love, "Until the day that I rise up to the prey of cruelty; for My determination is to gather the nations of cruelty from within, that I may assemble their kingdoms of hatred, to pour upon them Mine indignation, even all My fierce anger; for all the Earth shall be wholly devoured with the fire of My jealous Love"...
