The Rain

The Rain

A Poem by Pauline Downie
"

Thinking what could happen if it rains.

"
At the window I sit idly by,
Rest my gaze up to the sky.
I see the dark clouds roll on high,
Wondering if the rain come nigh,
And should I leave my dwelling place,
The rain shall wet my clothes and face.
I’ll wear my rubber boots just in case,
There could be puddles to your embrace.

Flows well, smooth, and a great ending to make one think. Nice.
