An Altered Perspective Of Forgiven Mistakes

An Altered Perspective Of Forgiven Mistakes

A Poem by Jesse Ampe
"

People say they simply don't care but when it all boils down at the end of the day deep inside you know you really do care. Everyone makes mistakes but, you hope that you aren't someones mistake.

"

Verse 1:

I've seen the sun shine on better days

But then again what could be better than this beautiful morning

Everything is broken down into its simplest states

Then you chime in and my perspectives begin to change

Chorus:

You say you don't care

You just never cared

Then I sit and think there

Everyone makes mistakes

But who's to say the ones that were made weren't all on me

You say you don't care

You just never cared

But deep down inside I know that you do

Verse 2:

I've seen the sun set on better nights

But then again nothing is better than this elegant evening

Everything is divided into its smallest part

But then you chime in and my thoughts drastically change

Chorus:

You say you don't care

You just never cared

Then I stay and think there

Everyone makes mistakes

But who's to say the ones that were made weren't all on me

You say you don't care

You just never cared

But deep deep down inside somewhere I know that you still do
