The Price You Pay

The Price You Pay

A Poem by Amy..... "sing To Me A Spanish Lullaby, And I Will Get Lost In Your Eyes"
"

Some things come with a price.....other things just happen when left alone.

"

Looking around, my
world seems to
change

Unruffled pillows
surround my head
in bed

Its been so long
since I’ve been
home

-Time -changes hearts
to beat in different
tempos

Choices to be happy
or to be humble
present itself

Finding who I am
is a chance I must
accept

My identity and
soul depends on
this decision

The Price You Pay
Is the “Price” you pay
to be “you.”

Nicely written Amy and speaks immensely as an accumulative insight, and the
emotional details combine with imagery and form to create a vivid impression on the
reader's mind, defining what it means to know the cost of life and experience,
Great job, I really liked it.

Looking back on who we were is one way to gauge how far we've come. Life is about choices and consequences.
