Mathematics

Mathematics

A Poem by John Prophet

Mathematics.
Language
of the
gods.
Bits and
bytes.
Numbers
et al.
Functions.
Function
of reality.
Unseen
concepts.
Foundation
of emptiness.
Substrate
of existence.
Meaningless.
Means nothing
unless
interpreted.
Interpreted
mathematically.
Intangible.
Just concepts.
Foundation
of existence
merely a
concept.
Just a
probability.
Base
level reality
built
on a
concept.
Interpreted
concept.
Interpreted
how?

I absolutely hated math growing up. I only got as far as division and stopped because I could literally hear brain cells eroding in my head from the stress of mathematics. With that being said I have an admiration for mathematicians and all who have a love for numbers. It is an art form unto itself. And your incredible poem speaks to exactly that.
