A Poem by Riley Mistwood

Upon this mound of books I stand.

A Queen of the grandest land.

A crown of words adorns my head

and in my hand the mighty pen

The slayer of the bravest men

Inside my mind a key I hold

to unlock stories yet untold

Oh what wonders lay ahead

tucked away inside my head

My hands create a treasure map

to guide you to my soul and back

On my mound of books I stand

the Queen of my imagination land

No problem :)
I like the urgent rhyming. It gives the feel that these words are birthed of passion. A passion which of course centres on the written word! :)

Wow! this is a really solid poem. I'm not a professional poet or anything so I can't say what it is that is working here but I can certainly tell something is working here. Great rhymes and great rhythm. I can't wait to read your other poems!

thank you :)
You have a cute writing style, I should say. :) And this was my favorite part:
"and in my hand the mighty pen
The slayer of the bravest men"

Keep writing! :))
