The Snow Fairy

The Snow Fairy

A Chapter by Ana Papaya
"

A Christmas Poem

"

~~~
Under the moonlight
Across a frozen lake
Drifted a little snow fairy
Upon a tiny snow flake
The wind blew her 'round
Spinning to and fro
Carrying her high, then
Swooping down low
She giggled and squealed
With a childish delight
Such wintery fun
On this moonlit night
When there a top a tree
She spotted a light
A new shining star
Its beauty so bright
So on fairy dust wings
She flew up to see
The beauty and wonder
Of this lone Christmas tree
Children were gathered
Way down there below
To gaze at this tree
All sprinkled in snow
And colourful garland
Frosty tinsel too
A string of lights
In shimmering blue
The children joined hands
And they sang out a song
"Bring peace to our forest
May its life be long"
So moved was the fairy
By what she did see
That she cried little tears
Falling frozen on the tree
Little crystal ornaments
Now magically appearing
And children below
All delightfully cheering!
So they sang one more time
Inspired by this sight
"Bring peace to our woods
On this beautiful Christmas night"
~~~

Cool...its a nice place to unwind.
You have a beautiful and wonderful mind Ana. Here you display all the magic and childlike joy and excitement that encapsulates all that is good about Christmas....as opposed to the Grinch here, who writes "Merry commercial exploitation of a once meaningful occasion" on his Christmas cards. My Mum's still not talking to me :)

Ha, yes. It's true. I get a lot of repeat customers.
Such a delightful beauty. Innocence of childhood and festive spirit, all comes through so vividly. I love the rhyme and rhythm of it.
