Jillie cat jingle

Jillie cat jingle

A Chapter by Ana Papaya
"

About a little kitty, I think this is a work in progress...

"

Long and far

she roamed from the city

she was full of life

so charming and witty

roamed the meadows

so green and hilly

Whistlin’ a tune as she goes

Hey ditty dilly aye dilly aye dilly

off on my own and far from the city

Find me place where I can rest for a bitty

Somewhere that's far from home

Out in the country

so clean and pretty

she found a big tree

it was perfect for sitting

plopped down tired and said

“My name is Jillie”

When she found that she wasn’t alone.

Hey ditty dilly aye dilly aye dilly

Off on my own and far from the city

Found me place where I can rest for a bitty

Now that I'm from home

she made a new friend

and his name was Billy

they played a little game

that was oh so silly

climbing up the trees

picking leaves and twiggies

While her Mama searched high and low

Hey ditty dilly aye dilly aye dilly

Ran off on her own and far from the city

Looking for my little runaway Jillie

Where'd that naughty cat go?

Absolutely Jellicle

This feels old beyond explanation.
Hey diddle diddle,
Georgie porgie,
London bridge type old.
And still just as familiar, somehow?
Curious, that.

I found my memory being pinged more than once during each read through.
Like it was something that always existed, and we just forgot until we saw it again.

Thank you. So much.
I haven't had that feeling in some time.

And to top it off... The (apparent) ease in which the words were so perfectly fit together... Jealousy, thy color is me.

Exactly! :)
Cats, especially Jilly cats, don't always realize what a worry they can sometimes be to their parents
I hope all worked out and no birds were killed in the making of this tale

Cute little tale here. Those are the best kinds of friends to meet: the ones that make you forget all about time & reality. Keep reaching for those twiggies. Charming way of telling a story.

Aww, poor little Jillie. I see a serious of children's books in the making here, to compete with that big dumb red dog I hear so much about. :)
Hope Jillie finds her way home.

Love the levels this one works on ... clean for young ears and much for one to unwrap for the more mature (or maybe less ... lol) reader. Great job:)
