invisible things that are chained to me

invisible things that are chained to me

A Chapter by Ana Papaya
"

~

i crave freedom
from people and responsibility
from invisible things that are chained to me
from all those things i cannot see
i want to be free
to live life as i want to be
to take back what belongs to me
to grab the slate and wipe it clean
of scars and such that can’t be seen
i want to understand
what it means to be free

I know that very feeling.
All too well.
:)
Someday, though.
At least, I hope.

Lol
Clever girl...
Oh how each of us craves to be "free" but after receiving that freedom we wish for our old lives back, for the security, for the knowing of what we have. However I like this piece as it gives voice to our inner cravings/wants.

Thx for stopping by.
The prisoner of invisible things and powers feels the worse pain than the prison of a real prison... Oh how many times I have craved for this feeling Ana, and I still crave to be free but life sometimes hands us unfortunate situations that never lets us see things easily, but there is always way to see if we look at it through peaceful eyes and mind... Great to be back at your page Ana, reading and feeling inspired...

Sincerely
Dhiman

Work and life had stole my energy to move. Freedom is missed when we have lost her. Maybe one day. Johnnie and you. Can be the coyote and raven? Swimming in the freedom of open road and no walls.

For me too and you are welcome.
It is a beautifully written poem. Especially the last line " I want to understand what it means to be free" is heart-touching.

It definitely shows :) looks great on you
What an awesomely titled piece. Those invisible things chained to me....funny how they are so light on the observers eye, yet have the density of an anvil on your being. They begin slowly, weighing you down little by little, until you only notice them because the floor begins to creak beneath you. It is only then, that you can capture such beautiful and inspiring words as you have achieved here. Aspiring, in letting others see what is shackled to them also.
Always be ready, as any chance of freedom will be fleeting, so always be prepared to chase the horizon when the moment appears.

Nina Simone sang a song "I Wonder What It Feels Like To Be Free".... you took me right to her song Papaya... I could hear your voice as I read this poem, a poem of freedom.... you have a softly powerful voice and it is felt in each word.... nicely done Papaya...

redzone...

Ok my phone is complaing so last phone comment for the night.... thank you for your poetry and allowing me to splash you and tell you a fish tale... ;0)

This is so relatable. I'm sure every human being has chains and scars they wish they could just wash off. Even maybe for just a moment. Really love this!
