the holy wars

A Chapter by Ana Papaya
"

~
let thy sins dissolve in these baptismal waters
where the blood of the victims and the salt of their tears
spills
in the name of all that was and is holy
all evil is forgiven

Author's Note

Ana Papaya
It's not a statement of any kind.
it's just a free verse poem that came out this way.
But interesting how violence in the name of some god or other can be rationalized y some

I sense that these words are bigger than the space they take up on this page.... much, much bigger

Welcome as always ....
I have in mind the 51 who died in New Zealand in a wicked rampage by a sole nutter. He will spend the rest of his days in prison. Hard to think about forgiveness at all in that context by anyone yet alone religious group. Tough one Ana.

Oh yes, that creepy dude. What a tragedy. Sickening.
The lines solid and hard. You left the reader with something to think about. I saw bad things in my life. I prayed God gave them a better place than their final place on this earth. Thank you Ana for sharing your amazing poetry.

I understood the poem and you are welcome.
WOW, very intense little poem... the opening lines rally make an impact.

The good die all the time from the evil... but they become more powerful as angels.

Here the breath deepens finding at the core the golden eye of god.

And with a wave of the wand, we are forgiven. Phew, so glad that I won't be held to account for all my atrocities :)
Powerful words, speaking volumes. Love it.

How can you make telling me to go to hell seem nice :)

I think when you add a smiley face at the end of everything it makes it sound nice. :)

I'm shite with titles but what the heck... It sounded good at the time. Thanks Starz!
Reminds me of the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Also the quote, "Nothing is true, all is permitted"... I'm too lazy to look up the author in this moment. It's cold outside.

A little Rage Against the Machine never hurt nobody too badly. Good choice of music.
