heavy

in my heart and chest

i held you in a breath

waiting for you

letting you go

If it were that simple...
I do wish it were, though.
I think most of us have scarred lungs from holding in too much foul air.

Yes, you may be right.
Good thing they're hidden, they might be scary looking.
:)
maybe I should not admit to it, but these words made me smile big.. it's a kind of reflex that happens when I find words to my liking... I liked these words ..

cheers....
One can only hold their breath so long - there is pain, strain and frustration - but the release of stagnate air is now replaced by new, fresh relief and the throbbing eases! Wonderful, reflective wordplay and great read … :-)

Phil, Thank you! :)
Letting go... is important in order to breathe...
Life is not spent in moments, but in measures of precious moments to remember. Amen, Pat

Yes well said Patricia. Thank you!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! the cleansing breath ;) such a simple exercise that works every time ..we just need to take the time to be still...clear the mind ...and breath in ....breath out ;) love the title ...it hooked me ..L1 is perfect ...one simple word that starts my emotions relating ... then the love ... lost ... and in the end let go ... i think the beauty in this poem is the sweet sadness of having loved and lost ... but better to have loved at all eh!? sure enjoyed the read and meditations

well...yes..it can be a bugger in the "crash" ;}
And with that exhalation, we can finally brreathe again. We may still feel the hollow, weighted ache as before, but with that exhale, healing can begin.
I feel that when that breath is let out, the mind games and over analysis recede with it. But what do I know? When I typed exhalation, I had to stop and get my dictionary to see if I had made that word up. :)
As ever Ana, your talent for taking a few words and filling them withso much meaning, is impressive.
