i will embrace the chaos in my life
just as i might embrace confetti and rainfalls
      as messy but beautiful celebrations

All those confetti petals and raindrops how beautiful they are from a poet's perspective Ana. I am immediately remembering my beautiful cherry tree that is no more being kissed by rainfall. Chaos? I can learn to live with it Ana, have done and do, but embrace it with open arms? I can't quite make friends with it. That's where you took me with your lines.

Sometimes I think if there wasn't any chaos in your life you would start panicking.
Coffee to keep you going, alcohol to forget why you're going.

Thank you, it's also shrinking as I have much less time. :)
There is beauty in so many things when we look with our heart not eyes.
The most beautiful thing is waking up each day.

Poignant little piece.

Thx so much Cowboy. :)
it all adds up to us...the good celebrations and the bad...the contentment and the chaos...
they almost go hand in hand, like a couple when we think "opposites attract"!

yes, it's very much like opposites attract :)
thanks Jacob!
What a lovely perspective on chaos! I wrote a similar poem some years back on the site called "chaos and champagne" about celebrating disorder and entropy in one's life. Good writing, as always, made me feel warm and cozy amidst the February rainfall.

What a beautiful perspective to see from Ana. Personally, confetti has given me more than my fair share of anxiety dreams. Why am I always the one who has to pick it all up? And burst beanbags too! Having to count all those bloody styrofoam beads was enough to drive me insane.
Gotta go, I hear the meds trolley coming :)
