Are we really all cut from the same cloth?

Are we really all cut from the same cloth?

A Chapter by Ana Papaya
"

The world is full of know-it-alls

"
~

i'm so sorry, Copernicus
but the world revolves around us
it's not vanity that makes us think that
we believe as a far as our eyes can see

and Avogadro, you can shove an avocado in it
everyone knows, the more things change
the more they stay the same
because pessimists need to have it this way
always keeping standards astray

because the world is too afraid
to let greatness shine for fear of the threat
it will belittle those with a little intellect

no apologies, Greta
ya shoulda known betta, ya silly kid
Trump's a bigger badder man
how dare you even try
to open such a small mind
pick a fight with someone your own size next time

I've got my knives sharp and shined
they've got to cut just the same
until they all dull and fade
with this f*****g charade

~

there are some...i don't want to be cut from that cloth, thank you, very much.
One whom you mentioned in this poem.
as bugs bunny exclaimed. "i'm dying again"
but if that man asked me how to get to Hoboken...I would say, "Hit the road!"
a bigger, badder poem than the subject will ever be.
love it.

sarcasm well noted Ana .. right from the get go .. Mr. C was on the line for his life to say such blasphemy ..i love Avogandro's Law .. and combining science with art .. i see no real dividing line .. its just that science begs off when it has no answer ... Avogandro's Law states something i adhere to ... all things expanded or reduced ... will occupy the same space ... i take liberty with his law but i think it applies .. for me..your poem is rather shaky and random in reading .. the rhythm .. etc. etc. .. i miss the connection between Greta Garbo and President Trump .. for me .. you have a sharp clear objective that is obscured by passions and impulse .. i think you should absolutely put this in the refine box of your already mwahvelous "stuff" ... maybe even put it in a classical form ... just to tame the passions ;) love ya always ... what a long time we are reading each other eh!? peace and joy and please stay safe

Reminds me of the old joke, "I crossed a psychic prostitute with an Encyclopedia Britannica." Yeah? What'd you get? A f*****g, know-it-all therapist who charges by the hour." “He who knows not,
and knows not that he knows not, is a fool; shun him. He who knows not, and knows that he knows not,
is a student; teach him. He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep; Wake him. He who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise; follow him.” Arabian Proverb

Ha, that's funny!!!! About the know it all prostitute.
Thanks for the great comment!
I have come to the conclusion that some people are completely unable to construct an original critically thought out opinion. like a person that was never able to see from birth that get healed later in life they suddenly have a new set of new stimuli flooding into their mind but the brain doesn't know what to make of it because it was never told what a thing is that part of the mind was never exercised some folks can learn what a things is over time and then can tag it but others just take it for granted because they were told an orange is an apple and without even the slightest disagreement that is the world they live in but some folks will bite into it and realise that it is an orange and not an apple cause they have tasted them before and eureka we have a thinking mind verses a wrote mind who will go on in perpetuity eating orange apples for the rest of their lives:)......:(

You can never tell them anything. They know everything. For them global warming is a hoax and bleach injections are a fine treatment for Corona and that's just one example. The world is full of them. I like the way you say the more things change the more they stay the same. And those knives will eventually get jaded and faded. Loved this write.
