Passing

Passing

How the wind carries your name
whilst my ears tingle
    and my heart feels pain

         sweetly comes the breeze
   soothing comes the rain

remembering
the falling of leaves
ever so gentle upon your grave

a covering of warmth
  over cold earth

This is a graceful little snapshot, full of sparkling imagery . . . painting those plentiful moments when someone beloved crosses our minds, even years after their demise, it's still this palpable breeze that stirs every now & then (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Pulls on my heartstrings this piece Ana. Reminds me of Edna St. Vincent Millay and I have always been a huge fan of hers and her sonnets.

................... these words comprise of a mourning song, they are felt as much as they are seen...

This brings so much warmth and peace to something so tragic and terrible. Somebody I knew recently passed away and this made me smile!

Hi bee, thanks much for reading and commenting on this one. I'm glad it made you smile. :)
The worst is the thought of the cold earth covering a heart that once throbbed with warmth for us...I feel this poem...It touches me...
