Window seat

A Chapter by Ana Papaya

Everything you have known about love
let it go

let me paint your portrait with beautiful music
blending the sharp edges of your jaw
with the softness in your eyes

I want to show you what I see
man as a master piece

These words just melt my heart: "Everything you have known about love . . . let it go . . . let me paint your portrait . . ." -- what a way to grab the reader's attention. "Expectations" are the downfall of love & you've painted the remedy so simply & with stark truth (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Again very nice building of climax. Last line make me jaw goes down at good way. I just wonder if that window seat was at car or airplane. That highest of skies will give even more turbulence at meaning. Portrait is very beautiful - .

Thank you Martin. :)
I appreciate that. One day you will find a bad one. I promise! :)
Reminds me of the giddy heights of being in love where nothing that went before or would go after mattered. LIving in that heightened moment. Lovely ANA. Feeling has been captured.

Gee
My wife, nigh on thirty years ago, took a man that was hell bent on drinking and womanising, reassembled all of his parts, carefully, lovingly, showing him that it was okay to love not only others but himself. And I will be forever in her debt.
Loved this piece And P

You didn't get the memo?
Staring down from my kirigami paper window seat..not origami " forget all you know".there is cutting in that line, I am sent into a hypnogogic state of Yoga Nidra by the softness in this "less is so much more" meditation. "man as a masterpiece"..we could spend a few hours on our lessons of perception in that line..lol. This is simply stunning Ana..as ineffable as the presentation of the galaxy ..thanks for sharing.

Thanks Neville. I'll let you decide which way you wish to interpret. :)
Michelangelo's 'David' is the masterpiece of Man for me. Having a window seat to such beauty would be a wonder to behold. Your thoughts here are quite precious and it reminds me that much of the beauty we see in others cannot be seen by themselves. Lovely work!

Someone beat you to it Ana. Kind of a surreal cubists nervous breakdown one reviewer thought. "Painted mostly in what can only be described as blurple and blorange. 😀
Yours sounds better though, and won't cause nearly as many nightmares.
And as to your opening line, I've let go, why am I falling now? 😀
