Caged

Caged

A Poem by Analae
"

This is more about what I feel sometimes then anything else. Its a poem but it doesn't really follow any of the rules. Enjoy

"
Pacing.  Growing.  Beating, Breathing, Pounding.
Caged is the only word that can describe it.
Tired, angry, scared, alone.
Caged.  I feel it inside me.
I know it wants what I have.  It wants out, to breath, to run on the ground.
It was to feed and play and love.
Caged is the animal that I have become.
 Caged and alone and pacing.
I have two faces, though I only show one.  Smiling, loving, joking.
This one is caged by the other.  They are the same but they are at war.
Unsettled.
To let one take over, I am afraid I would loose the war.
The caged beast that I hold inside, it wants to consume me.
I look in a mirror and smile. I know what lies underneath this exterior.  I know what lives with me.
I walk it keeps up and smiles.
It paces and waits for it knows that I will one day break.
Caged no longer, it says to my mind.
Cage is gone, it dances.
One and the same and yet two in one and both of them are caged by the other.

Author's Note

Analae
This is more based on feelings than anything else. It doesn't really have a lot of rhyme nor rhythm but it gets my point across.
