"Moonshadows..."

"Moonshadows..."

A Poem by Chris
"

...echoes of yesterday

"

"Moonshadows..."

...echoes of yesterday...

There are times I feel your fingertips
grazing my cheek...
and your lips are just right THERE

and mine move to find and mold to yours...
and I can feel your arms around me
and squeezing so tight...
and then for whatever reason
I become aware of where and when I am
and wish so hard - I hadn't.

Mmmm, those moments when the memory is so real, is it a dream, dare I open my eyes? Wanting to savor it for a moment longer...realization hits and I can almost hear the sigh...

For such a small write, it carries the weight of the world.

Very poignant and breathes like the first breath of awakening from our most tender dream

It is hard to know if we are here or there, time twists, and life bites back, nocturnal
omission, the truth of the dark, erasing the young at the reunion...

Powerful. I love word choice and the physical feelings you are portraying. Wonderful! I love your work.

Heart-breaking.

Took my emotion to a new level, as you always do...
The enhancement of certain words is something you carry through all your poetry, simply renders me humbled to read your thoughts xoxo

I was just about to post the same thing, I feel honored just to have read this.
The yearning is portrayed so beautifully even wrapped in sadness. You are such a gorgeous poet!
