"Take Cares..."

"Take Cares..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Thoughts on a Monday

"

"Take Cares..."

We try...we really do
but life - isn't always ...kind
and clean    and gentle, loving.

There are moments of

- god I wish so hard it wasn't

now...
and others that leave you

with glassy, unfocused eyes

and a 1,000 yard stare...

There are breaths that just don't come
and footsteps now unheard;
friends we leave behind

- and family too;

lives shattered by God's own tears,
and the shyest, gentlest fingertips

touching cheeks and whispering "...goodbye..."

"...take care..."

A refreshing read. One of the best I have read lately. Heartfelt and on time

I'm glad you paused and hope you'll return.
I think what I like most about the work of yours that I've read so far is the little vignettes that you can create with just one line, (1000 yd stare) and then that you can take a big spoon and bring it all together in one complete whole. And I do mean complete.

This poem resonates so deeply. It is so gentle, and thoughtful, full of the wonderings, and the pain of goodbye...makes me miss so many gentle ones. Beautiful...I love the way you write.

It can be... sometimes.
I agree with my fellow North Carolinian Micheal as he states
“It is what it is, and you go on through it anyway.”
”It is not “Whatever”, it is “what it is”. In this heartfelt write words felt show it is no “fun”
Remembering through every loss seemly “never to get over”; the human spirit rises with "will". Pushing ever forward!
We do get “through it”, keeping the good memories.

Finished reposting the previous "words" back to here. Should begin to think of "new" ones.
So much truth and insight behind these words. 'Twas a pleasure to read, Sir.
