"Bits Of My Today…"

There is a truism of life -

all about becoming who we are to be

…and what it takes.

…and if we are willing…

…and if we aren't…

and all the dealing -

decisions by the hour, day, week, month, breath -

the breathing when you can't draw a breath,

the waiting and waiting in between -

knowing just how quick eternities happen,

and how long moments really are…

reaching - and it's just beyond grasp,

always and always beyond

and yet this once - THIS ONCE,

the touch - oh the touch of starlight!

and the FALL - thefallthefallthefalling awayawayaway

…dreams…remember the dreams…remember

having dreams

*****************************************

Life has such an intensity

and the edges - Gawd,

the edges are just so SHARP

and real.

Focused …focused…

And to stand and gaze out

çross the end of the world

the end of time

the end of being…

just nails me to the clouds

and draws me along for the

…ride.

********************************************

Magyk is such a feisty, tasty, and self-less dream…

to weave heart and soul into tone and shades of light -

sighs and wishes

soft tears

echoes…

Some words define

others delight…

and my mind DOES apostrophe after others - go figure the levels of meanings.

**********************************************

yes, there YOU are -

and she KNOWS your buttons

after all they are likely her own as well

and she knows …knows…

perceived slights and choices made

and missing and wishing

and so much more

always so much …more.

Moms do that…

and sometimes dads as well -

think Hungarian Princess

and you touch the fires of hell.

**********************************************

This one made me think

of the deliberate means

meanings seldom have…

***********************************************

I've a small, framed print

just a left-view from the keyboard

a mind-view from the screen

a world-view of existence

and a life's view dreamed.

I met the artist,

acquired it from her - literally

couldn't afford the full-sized reality

but she had a light-about her

and was hiding the original from sight-and-sale.

I came back and back again

and spoke of "moments" and meanings

and thoughts and wanderings

places and times and yes - of visions too.

I see her eyes reflecting back into mine

with every view.

Good morning.

Chris

You really do write in free verse. Now I see what you mean. I think that way....................Hmm m....Well that was so refreshing. This one came at me as experiences which connected to similar building blocks of growth in your being and in a special relationship. I didn't quite get it but that's the fun! Love it so much. God Bless you.

Time passes and the reflection our mind conjures is often the pictures of what was and seldom what now is. We change. We grow. Who we transition into is rarely more than a ghost of the former a subconscious has kept tucked away.

It is good to see you are still well and writing, Chris.

Yes, the edges of life can be sharp but where would we be if we didn't take chances. Valentine

Love the flow and all the bits and pieces you shared, especially the thoughts that go through your mind as you carry on with your day.

I am really glad I came along your poem this morning. It inspired me not to forget " The bits" of my day-days and how in each moment we can learn, draw something into ourselves from others or the world around us, if we take the time in our busy life's " not to sound cliche, but to stop and smell the roses. " Or to simply say, how every moment can be a gift if we are open to see it. Thank you for sharing this.

You make life seem so interesting and life should be. I like the places and the people in your words. Reflections of what we are and what we see. Should be a worthwhile journey always. Thank you Chris for sharing your amazing poetry.
