"Three For The Price Of Admission..."

"Three For The Price Of Admission..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Life as we live it.

"

Three for the price of admission.  That is a fair and ongoing rate - I’ld say.  Life as we live it…

Isn’t it strange how “A Good Story” is seldom told but always heard…

“A Good Story…”

I dreamt of God,

and touching stars…

Finding Love -

and being “more”…

And learned…

the costs of tears.

“Blessed Be.”

Chris - USA

“It Was Always In The Eyes…”

Every smile

Became the dream…

I died within.

Chris

“Dealing…”

At times …I hurt…

real - AND thought-full-ly

…hurt IS that ya know -

both real AND thoughtful.

And at other times …I remember

…"smiling"…

and the soul fills up

and I even cry …too.

And then…

well, that would be telling -

but that's what we do - isn't it?

We tell

and feel

and continue

…and sometimes… breathe

- as we can,

and sometimes really can’t …too -

it’s what we do.

Isn’t it?

…isn’t it…

Chris

Just real - miss, just real.

Now I can almost see for yards again, I must confess it was not too hard for me to lose myself completely somewhere mid these words.. A fine trilogy to feel oneself around any day of the week and cheap at half the price... All Good Things,

Neville

Other people are far more important than many of us are likely to admit. They hurt and the help. Much of it is simple perspective which we decide we can not change.

Chris this is so thoughtful, such a vulnerable but also completely realistic and valid reflection on human nature. Telling our stories and sharing our experiences to others is the only way I can make sense out of pain, in the hopes that it might help someone else in some way.
Such lovely writing,
Laura.

Three short poems of an existentialist nature here. I especially liked "A Good Story," with its theme of dreams and disappointment. Blessed Be, as the last line advises. Whatever the course of a life, being is always the first and the last.

God has never said NOT to cry... nor would I.
there it is...it is what we do :D

you have such a great conversational way of writing so that we can all relate...yes, Hurt is very real and thoughtful...and those thoughts hurt so much but we can't stop them.
We accept them, deal with them and try to move on. That is what we do, isn't it?
The cost of tears...yes, when what we dream is not what we achieve. Failure makes the eyes water...
and often success does at well, it is just how it is.
such good writing from you,
j.

From you that is head-turning - careful it might be overheard... chuckling here - Hi Jacob.
I love how well you observe each little nuance of the teensy things we think about & feel in an ongoing reverie . . . enlightening tidbits of real life in real time (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
