"Real..."

"Real..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Careful, the heart you touch may be your own...

"
Hey guys, can you do me and yourselves a favor?  There's an author here I want to ask you to pause with...

Read his "The Blonde Girl".  Just two not overly long chapters and thereafter perhaps one or two poems.  He paused my day midstep.  What else is there ...constructive... to say?  Careful, the heart you touch may be your own...

"Real..."

When you taste ...real...
the afters flow through you
well into your nows
and life pauses
and you ...catch a breath,
and your heart and mind KNOW
exactly
what you truly wish
you could have said
but couldn't ...and likely didn't... so long ago.

Chris

Give Chase some "Constructive" feedback ...your heart needs it.

I know that feeling, when you wish you had but you didn’t. Beautifully caught up in a ribbon of words.
Very clever.

when you read poems that are real....you are touched now and forever by the words...
and wish you had been the poet to write those words...

Thanks for being YOU and pausing...
lots of inspiring aspects of your poem Chris .. those "real"s can be so mystical, fulfilling and thirst quenching one wants them to linger ... but we just don't have the know how ... the second half speaks to me of regrets ... and we do have them ... coulda woulda shoulda .... funny how those "just right" things to say take days to hatch

ps. going to visit Chase ... peace brother!
