“…A Time for us - there will never be…”

 

I used to sit within street cafes

and watch the "wanderers" just pass by.

Faces blank and empty-eyed

hurrying on their oblivious ways.

Social lemmings ...searching ...searching

for a cause

a needed touch

a breath to share -

the silence each feels so deeply within.

Seems so many never see

the ones that see ...them.

We weren't the "wanted"

just the ignored.

So much better than those "lemmings" that are out working and making infrastructure. Wow, what boring a*s people they must be with your opinion of them being boring people. While you sip your coffee and write that crappy a*s novel at a cafe and look out a window and judge everyone. what a pity.

I agree, people are in such a hurry they barely take time to notice anything whilst the obliviously go about their day…
I just hope they are careful enough not to knock any strollers over while they’re going at full speed!

People are in such a hurry these days. We live in frenetic times. We should all take time to just sit and take in the wonder of things around us, but few people do that these days. Interesting write!

People are (and have always been) in a "hurry" - not just now. It's a norm of how we as humans act and react. But there are moments when we find - pausing - actually "matters" to ...us.
