"Winter..."

"Winter..."

A Poem by Chris

"Winter..."

Winter is for fires and cuddling
... and snowmen and snowball fights
... snowangels,
and thoughts
children's hearts and dreams
...even of Christmas that was and
just maybe will be.

Hot chocolate
and making memories to share
and sharing memories you've made...
and a good morning smile
  you really mean,
and touching a cheek oh so lightly
as you begin a day
and end a night.

Winter is...
the lightest blush
of wish's intent.

Your descriptions gave me warm fuzzies inside Chris! Actually lightened my view towards winter, if for however brief. Finding beauty in small things!! I love!

Man, this is so easy and relaxed it belays the craftsmanship and sheer class of the work. You take the simplest of imagry and translate them into wonderful emotion and leave an open gate to the potential story. Great work.

One of my very favorite things is waking at 5:00 am on Christmas and driving to my kids house to watch them open their presents. From the moment I take the road and get on the freeway and there is literally no one out....it is pin drop quiet.....one of those moments I will miss as they age. May just wake up early and go for a spin anyway when that time comes....nice stuff Chris, I do love me some winter time as long as I have my jacket.
