"Through The Looking Glass..."

"Through The Looking Glass..."

A Poem by Chris

"Through The Looking Glass..."

its not silent - sitting here...
the thoughts run and run.
...the fingers can sit frozen -
but it isn't silent.

How do I say
what is and isn't -
where tomorrow will be
where i ...might - be.

Take a breath
it's sunrise, another

it's sunset.  Yesterday,
it rained and today tears fell.

and it's a world - out here
a place where people are
i breathe... and pause
...and it isn't silent...
here.

Such a wonderful write, something to really ponder on,
Very nicely expressed.

Silent is where, where the heart's filled with wondering what if. Maybe. We're all different, must never assume; nothing truly stops inside a mind like yours, it curls into itself and listens to stillness, a place in waiting for you. Perhaps. Life rolls on, stays same; alters, remains with its memories - and you pause, content in your silent space .. listening. Tis only you knows that.

I know all about thoughts that run and run - the brain just doesn't want to turn off. No one knows what the future will hold, all we can do is hold on and hope for the best. Why is it that the older we get, the faster time seems to go by and yet at times it can seem to stand still? I guess, there just is no figuring this life out, it will always remain a mystery to us. I'm hoping for some answers when I pass on to the other side.

This is written very well. I like the simplicity of it.
The emotions carry themselves through to the end... making the reader believe.
Thanks for the privilege of reading such good work.
