Lady in the Park

Lady in the Park

A Poem by AndBeForgotten

I follow that electric stride,

Almost imperceptible,

Your arms and legs move so swiftly.

Caught in my peripheral, your body becomes a streak of fluorescents,

A celestial glimmer in that passing glance,

My own Etoile.

I find eternity in your melody of walking, in the scent of your perfume.

Your delicate aurora captivates my senses

The shades of pink and blue flicker, murmuring a central feeling,

Bellus, passione,

A kind of ecstasy.

Your tonic eloquence, so invigorating, refreshing,

Not perceptible by every eye,

But sequestered in my painting of that innocence,

That melody of walking,

You enrapture me.

Oh, philosopher in my universe,

Recollecting the distant rivulets of light left in your passing,

I keep them in a glass box, and whisper to them,

“vous me sauverez .”

The noiseless peace of that illuminated air,

It floats around my face, like ribbons of delicate lights.

They wrap around my yearning soul.

Though they are ephemeral,

They burn a sliver lined thought,

A hypnotic eloquence in my memory.
