What I Left Ahead

What I Left Ahead

A Poem by Andrea Vargas

To think that I lost myself,

but in honesty I've grown from pain,

With misery as my company cane,

Learning to feel for the reality and laugh for the innocent,

Scream in desire and run in flight,

Its what I want to become that I peer ahead of my mind,

Losing apart of myself so far behind

It's In the shadows of what I've become,

that I venture for the truth of what I've lost,

Although in reality its not what I left behind,

But what I left ahead in the furture of my growing mind,

Soon to become apart of the new,

One day life will hit me and ahead I'll find that ultimate clue.
