Golden Walks

Golden Walks

A Poem by Andrew Nelson Stewart
"

A string of lexical items delineate a panorama of joy of love in a realm of dream! trying to capture the landscape in inner camera, microscopic lens.

"

Glorious walk through hope,
And as if hearten these wingless helpers with a handful of eyes.

I raise my hand to wave, to see if I was in a dream state or pinching my miniscule hairs to see if I was in reality.

I walk once more as breathing within my own soul,

Takes it's flight through the tall golden threads of thy grass blowing siliently in the wind,
these untouched lands before me and ahead.
Deep and genuine to see what beauty to cast upon just by staring with watery eyes.

Glancing down on hints wrapping itself on thy fingertips, looking closely to reel in a thread of golden fields of past walks, presently making new steps to uncover what kept me from not moving forward.

A kiss from imagined future sweetheart,
looking back seeing long haired free spirit,
standing miles back or seeming like a great distance to turn back.

Holding in my hand was not a thread,
holding in my hand was pursuit of happiness under the tree of first kisses
and long stretch of layouts in footprints near laughs.

Links to unknown,
places visited but not seen,
flying with no wings,

Kissing with no keeping you held back from walks.

Walks in golden fields to catch the same walks from before while introduced to new walks of life,
grasping what it meant to feel sincere touches with no words said.

Only cameras looking in another knowing you can't stay,
existing beneath to be back only with memories

Walking alone and to see these walks were my own life before me, implausible lands.

Impassive fields, emotionless foundations to keep you from falling down,

Here after, paradise though it was seen not as dreamy state,
A reality which was said with someone before these walks began.

Walks in symphonies, only felt when playing the harp in senic motions.

A warm, cozy and romantic piece.
If only all love lasted forever, this way.
