It's bad enough that I criticise myself..

I'm not your mistake,  so please don't correct me,  infect me with lies,  cut my life from existence,  your obsessive, relentless,  perfected persistence.  I'm not your mistake,  put your rubber away,  I won't be erased,  by the truth of today.  I'm not your mistake,  I'm not your correction,  I'm not the wrong answer,  but I'm far from perfection.  I'm not your mistake,  so don't break me in rage  don't crush me,  I'm not just the words on the page,  I'm not your mistake  so don't judge me like art,  after all, it's from failing,  that improving can start,  I'm not your mistake,  so please don't correct me,  I respect that you're trying,  but you can't redirect me.

I often found myself criticising others though I've started to realise I was wrong to do so despite 8 years of bullying which was ultimately a case of being told I was a mistake and told that I should change who I was

Aaahhhh....truth spoken, said like it is......often people doing this think they are doing us a service to "fix" us, not realising we are quite okay remaining just the same...... :)

Absolutely. I made this after someone criticised my beliefs but I feel it applies to everyone. Calling someone fat doesn't get them to start dieting, it just makes them feel insecure and upset
