Salvation of a cursed man

Salvation of a cursed man

A Poem by Andy East

Last night, my body shook with the tremors

My dreams, cursed with the night terrors

The voices, it feels as if somebody

wants control, it's gonna get bloody

So I brought suffering to the children

Now restrained inside this institution

With my blade, quelled their behaviour

From this dark world, became their saviour

Am I a madman and deluded

With the voices i colluded

Don't you say your prayers for me,

Cos I don't want your sympathy

Can you see the horror that I'm in,

Did you see the monsters that I've been

Sanity vacates me for a while

Waiting for my final green mile

So now I'm fighting the good fight

To keep the monsters caged inside

The voices screaming in my head

Do you think they'll stop when I am dead

Don't forget and never forgive

Cos I'm not sorry for what I did

My eternal hell will burn my soul

A curtain call let silence fall
