How Long has it been..

Just a morning poem

I think  I'll have another cup of coffee and write some poetry.
It's not an excuse , there does not have to be one.
A reason to write poetry if you must have one is simply
that we think.
We think as we drink our morning coffee .
How long has it been  since I wrote poetry?
Well when you put it that way it seems like a very long time.
But truth be told I write it everyday
invisable ribbons of poetry run through my mind as I watch an elderly man cross the street or a young couple  holding hands , dogs , cats, butterflies,
It's like the tree falling in the forest , It does make a noise even without someone to hear it.

That's right no excuse needed other then the fact we are expressing our freedom of speech and love the written word. Poetry is not only good self therapy but can be help for others knowing they are not alone in how they feel.
